10 Craft Ideas to do With Loch Ness Monster Coloring Pages

Once your little cryptid enthusiasts have finished coloring their Loch Ness Monster pages, don't let those artistic masterpieces hide away! Transform them into legendary crafts with these fun, easy ideas.

1. Nessie Stick Puppet

Carefully cut out your colored Nessie monster from the page. Tape or glue the cutout firmly onto a craft stick, popsicle stick, or even a sturdy straw. Now you have a movable Nessie, ready to “swim” through the air or peek over furniture!

2. Loch Ness Diorama Box

Grab an old shoebox and paint or line the inside with blue construction paper for the “loch” and green for the “shore.” Cut out your colored Nessie and glue or prop it up inside so it looks like it's emerging from the water. Add small pebbles, twigs, or cotton ball clouds to complete your mini Loch Ness scene.

3. “Spot Nessie” Binoculars

Glue two empty toilet paper rolls side-by-side onto a piece of construction paper, then wrap the paper around to secure them. Punch holes on the outer sides, loop a string through for a neck strap, and decorate. Use your finished Nessie coloring page as the “creature” you're trying to spot!

4. Nessie Bottle Aquarium

Take a clean, empty plastic bottle and fill it with water tinted blue with a drop of food coloring. Add some glitter for sparkle. Laminate your cut-out Nessie (or cover with clear packing tape) and place it inside, or simply glue the cutout to the outside of the bottle. Seal the cap tightly for your very own portable Nessie habitat!

5. Nessie Peeker Bookmark

Cut out your colored Nessie, focusing on the head and neck. On a piece of cardstock, draw and cut out a bookmark shape. Glue Nessie to the top of the bookmark so it looks like its head is peeking over the edge of your book when in use. Laminate for durability.

6. “Wanted: Loch Ness Monster” Poster

Find a large piece of poster board or thick paper. Decorate it with “WANTED” in bold letters, a bounty, and perhaps some humorous descriptive text about Nessie's elusive nature. Glue your beautifully colored and cut-out Nessie monster right in the center, making it the star of your mythical creature hunt poster.

7. Loch Ness Monster Mobile

Cut out several Nessie monsters from your coloring pages. Using a coat hanger or two crossed sticks tied together, attach varying lengths of string or yarn to hang your Nessies. You can add blue streamers or ribbon to represent water. Hang your mobile where your Nessies can “swim” freely!

8. Nessie “Surprise” Greeting Card

Fold a piece of construction paper in half to make a card. Cut out several wavy “water” strips from blue paper and glue them onto the front. Cut out your colored Nessie monster and attach it behind one of the waves with a small pop-up mechanism (a folded strip of paper) so Nessie pops out when the card is opened, or peeks through the waves on the front.

9. Nessie's Fin Headband

Cut a long strip of poster board or cardstock to fit around your child's head, then glue or tape the ends together. Cut out just the hump or a small fin of your colored Nessie. Glue or tape this “fin” to the top of the headband, so it looks like Nessie is swimming across their head.

10. Loch Ness Discovery Jar

Find a clear mason jar or plastic container. Cut out a small, colored Nessie and glue it to a piece of cardstock, creating a stand, or laminate it. Place some blue-tinted water, small pebbles, glitter, and your Nessie inside. Add a lid to create a self-contained, sparkling “loch” for Nessie to live in, perfect for quiet discovery.
