10 Craft Ideas to do With Santa Face Coloring Pages
Once those finished coloring pages start piling up, don't just stack them away—these easy, affordable crafts put your child's colorful Santa masterpieces to creative use. With simple household supplies, you can transform these colored sheets into festive decorations, toys, and keepsakes.
1. Jolly Peek-a-Boo Mask
Cut out the finished Santa face coloring page, including the shape of his hat and beard, and carefully cut out circles for the eyes. Glue a jumbo wooden popsicle stick to the back of the chin to act as a handle for holding it up. Kids can then glue real, fluffy white cotton balls over the colored-in beard and hat trim to give their mask a cozy, 3D texture.
2. Marshmallow Beard Treat Jar
Cut out the colored Santa face and use Mod Podge to glue it to the front of a clean, empty glass mason jar. Wrap a wide red ribbon around the metal lid to represent Santa's hat, securing it with hot glue. Finally, fill the jar with white marshmallows, which will show through the glass and make Santa’s beard look soft, fluffy, and delicious.
3. Cotton Ball Countdown Calendar
Mount the completed Santa face coloring page onto a piece of sturdy red poster board. Write the numbers 1 through 24 in a pattern across his colored beard using a black marker. Each day in December, have your child glue a white cotton ball over the corresponding number until Santa has a full, fluffy beard on Christmas Eve.
4. Pop-Up Chimney Puppet
Wrap an empty toilet paper roll in red construction paper and draw black brick lines on it to make a chimney. Cut out the colored Santa face and glue it to the top of a long wooden craft stick. Slide the stick down into the chimney so your child can push it up and down, making Santa pop up to say ho-ho-ho!
5. Curly-Q Beard Door Hanger
Cut out the colored Santa face, leaving off the original printed beard, and glue his face and hat to the top half of a paper plate. Cut several strips of white construction paper, curl them tightly around a pencil, and glue the bouncy paper curls to the bottom of the plate to build a wild, 3D beard. Punch a hole in the top of the plate and thread a green ribbon through to hang it on a bedroom door.
6. Rosy Cheek Mantle Luminary
Carefully cut out the circles of Santa's cheeks and the white of his eyes from the colored page, leaving empty spaces. Wrap the page around an empty, clean plastic milk jug with the top cut off, securing it with clear tape. Place a battery-operated LED tealight inside the jug so his rosy cheeks and eyes glow warmly on your fireplace mantle.
7. Festive Santa Crown
Cut out the colored Santa face, ensuring his red hat is intact, and glue it to the center of a long, thick strip of red construction paper. Wrap the strip around your child's head to measure, staple the ends together to form a headband, and stick a large white craft pom-pom to the very tip of Santa's floppy hat.
8. Santa's Recipe Card Holder
Paint a wooden clothespin bright red and glue the cut-out Santa face to the top, non-pinching side of the wood. Glue a heavy metal washer to the bottom of the clothespin so it stands upright on your kitchen counter. Use Santa’s wooden “mouth” (the clip) to hold up your Christmas cookie recipe cards while you bake.
9. Naughty-or-Nice Scroll Keepsake
Cut out the colored Santa face and make a small horizontal slit right below his mustache using a craft knife. Roll up a small strip of green paper containing a handwritten “Good List” of your family's names, and slide it through the slit so it looks like Santa is holding the scroll in his mouth. Tie a piece of red baker's twine around the scroll to finish this sweet holiday keepsake.
10. Cylinder Chimney Centerpiece
Wrap a clean Pringles can in red felt and glue a black ribbon with a yellow paper square around the bottom half to look like Santa's belt buckle. Glue the finished Santa face coloring page to the top half of the cylinder so his beard meets the belt. Fill the open top of the can with holiday greenery or candy canes for a festive dinner table centerpiece.
