10 Craft Ideas to do With Bed Coloring Pages

Once you've finished coloring all those cozy beds, don't let those beautiful pages just pile up! Turn them into fun, easy, and affordable crafts.

1. Sweet Dreams Dream Catcher

Cut out your colored bed and glue it to the center of a paper plate with the middle cut out, or a craft hoop. Decorate with yarn, ribbon, and beads hanging below to catch good dreams as you sleep. Hang it near your own bed for sweet slumber.

2. Bedtime Story Journal Cover

Take a few sheets of folded construction paper and staple them together to make a small journal. Glue your colored bed page to the front as the cover, perhaps adding “My Bedtime Stories” with markers. Use it to write or draw about your dreams, favorite bedtime stories, or daily thoughts before bed.

3. Pop-Up Bed Scene Card

Fold a piece of cardstock in half for your card base. Cut out your colored bed and attach it to the inside of the card using a simple pop-up mechanism (two folded strips of paper glued behind the bed). Add other bedroom details like a small nightstand or window cut from construction paper to complete your cozy scene.

4. Bedtime Routine Flip Wheel

Cut a large circle from poster board and a smaller circle from another piece of paper. On the smaller circle, draw or write different bedtime routine steps (brush teeth, read book, pajamas). Attach the smaller wheel over your colored bed page (cut out and glued to the larger circle) with a brad fastener in the center. Spin to reveal the next step in your routine!

5. “Monster Under the Bed” Peeker

Glue your colored bed page near the top of a piece of construction paper, leaving space below. Cut a slit just under the bed. Draw or print a silly monster face on a separate strip of paper, then slide it into the slit so the monster can “peek” out from under the bed. Add googly eyes for extra fun!

6. Plush Bed Pillow Pal

Make two copies of your favorite colored bed page. Carefully cut them out, leaving a small border. Glue the edges of the two cutouts together, leaving a small opening. Stuff with cotton balls or crumpled tissue paper, then seal the opening to create a soft, miniature bed “pillow” for a doll or decoration.

7. Cozy Reading Bookmark

Glue your colored bed onto a sturdy piece of cardstock cut into a bookmark shape. Laminate it with clear contact paper or simply cover with clear tape for durability. Use it to mark your place in your favorite book, especially one you read while snuggled in bed.

8. Dreamy Nightlight Decoration

Cut out your colored bed and glue it to a small, empty, clear plastic container (like a yogurt cup or berry container), ensuring the bed faces outwards. Place a battery-operated LED tea light inside. The bed decoration will glow softly, creating a comforting “nightlight” for a desk or bedside table.

9. Dollhouse Bed Furniture

Construct a simple rectangular bed frame using popsicle sticks and glue. Cut out your colored bed and glue it onto the popsicle stick frame to serve as the mattress and bedding. This instantly creates a colorful and unique bed for your dolls or action figures.

10. “Goodnight, Stars” Wall Art

Cut out your colored bed page and glue it onto a larger piece of dark blue or black construction paper. Use a white crayon or glitter glue to draw stars and a moon around the bed. Frame it with a construction paper border or contact paper to create a personalized piece of nighttime-themed bedroom wall art.
