10 Craft Ideas to do With Postage Stamp Coloring Pages
Once those vibrant finished coloring pages start piling up, put them to good use with these easy and affordable postage stamp-themed crafts!
1. My Own Stamp Album Page
Transform a simple sheet of construction paper into a personalized stamp album page. Glue several cut-out colored stamps onto the paper, leaving space between them. Use a marker to draw neat rectangular “mounts” around each stamp, just like real collectors do!
2. Giant Wall Stamp Art
Grab a piece of poster board or sturdy cardboard and cut it into a large rectangle with wavy or zigzag edges to mimic a giant stamp. Glue one of your favorite colored stamps prominently in the center. Decorate the surrounding “border” of your giant stamp with markers or other small cut-out stamps to create a striking piece of wall art.
3. “First Day Cover” Keepsake
Create a mini “First Day Cover” with a plain white envelope. Glue one of your colored stamp cut-outs onto the top right corner of the envelope. Use a marker to draw a circular “cancellation” postmark over part of the stamp and envelope, then add a made-up “first day of issue” date below it.
4. Postage Stamp Puzzle
Turn a favorite colored stamp into a small puzzle! Glue a finished stamp onto a piece of thin cardboard, like from a cereal box, and let it dry completely. Once dry, carefully cut the cardboard into 4-6 simple, interlocking puzzle pieces that fit together to reform the stamp image.
5. Mini Mailbox Decoration
Cover a small empty box (like a tissue box or shoe box) with construction paper to resemble a miniature mailbox. Cut out multiple small colored stamps and glue them all over your tiny mailbox, making it look like it's covered in an array of unique postal art ready for delivery.
6. Travel “Passport” Journal
Fold several sheets of construction paper in half and staple them together to make a small booklet. Design a “passport” cover for your booklet. On each inside page, glue a different colored stamp, using them as “entry stamps” from various imaginary countries you've “visited.”
7. Collectible Stamp Magnets or Pins
For a wearable or refrigerator decoration, cut out your favorite colored stamps. Glue each stamp onto a small piece of stiff cardboard for durability, then cover with a layer of clear tape or Mod Podge to protect the image. Once dry, glue a small magnet or a safety pin to the back of each one.
8. Custom Postcard Creation
Cut a piece of cardstock into a standard postcard size. On one side, draw a line down the middle and a small stamp box in the top right corner. Glue one of your colored stamps into that box, then draw and color a unique scene or message on the rest of the postcard's front.
9. Postage Stamp Garland
Gather many colored stamps and carefully cut them out. Using a hole punch, make a hole at the top of each stamp. Thread a long piece of yarn or string through the holes of your stamps, spacing them out evenly, to create a festive garland for your room or a party.
10. Postage Stamp Coasters
Glue a different colored stamp onto the center of several cardboard squares (about 4×4 inches). Once the glue is dry, cover the entire surface of each coaster with clear contact paper or multiple layers of Mod Podge. This will protect your stamp art and make them durable, unique drink coasters.
