How to Print
To print, click on the printable image. It will automatically download to your computer as a PDF file. In order to view and print PDF files, Acrobat Reader must be installed on your computer. You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for free, click here.
As many printers have different menus and options, I would suggest choosing “fit to page” in the printing menu. “Fit to page” is the selection I use when I print the printables featured on this website.
Please refer to your printer manual for additional information to adjust your printer settings.
Paper plays a major role in the outcome of the printable. Avoid paper with a yellow tinge to it. Also, keep in mind that depending on what type of printable you are printing, depends on the type of paper. Personally, I used 28lb or 32lb paper with 100 brightness for my everyday printables. When I need a thicker paper for those special printables, wall art, greeting cards, gift tag, etc., I use 67lb cardstock with 94 brightness.
As you can probably tell already, I absolutely LOVE printables! Printing them can be a bit expensive with all the ink that is used. Making a trip to the store to buy cartridges is no fun task, especially when it is time to check out! Yikes! This is why I am thrilled to share with you what I have used for over two years now. Instant Ink! I never run out of ink and it is mailed to me by HP whenever the ink becomes low.
This is a brief rundown of how the program works:
You need to have an eligible HP printer that connects to the internet. My eligible HP printer is an HP Envy 4520. I have had my share of color printers in my time, and this is my all-time favorite. It definitely serves its purpose. There is a newer model to this printer, HP Envy 5055.
- Sign up for the Instant Ink program on the HP Instant Ink website.
- Select the Instant Ink plan. The monthly fee of each plan pays for the ink, shipping, and recycling. There are NO hidden fees and can be canceled at any time. If you want to change your plan like I did, no charge for doing so! I began with the “Moderate Printing Plan” 100 pages/month for $4.99. I recently changed to the “Frequent Printing Plan” 300 pages/month for $9.99. This was perfect for me since I began creating marketing materials for my brother's home inspection business. If you do not print all the pages in a month's time, they roll over two times the number of pages per month in your plan.
- The printer will notify HP when your ink is low and automatically orders new ink. You'll receive your new ink cartridges via mail delivery. No more trips to the store to buy ink cartridges. Remember, shipping fees are included in your monthly fee! How AWESOME is that! A prepaid envelope is provided to have the old cartridge recycled. Earth-friendly!
I hope you enjoy the convenience of this HP Instant Ink Plan as much as I do!
Enjoy printing your printables!
