10 Craft Ideas to do With Budgie Coloring Pages

Once those beautiful Budgie coloring pages are filled with vibrant colors, don't let them pile up! These easy, affordable crafts put them to imaginative use.

1. Budgie Perch Mobile

Carefully cut out several of your finished colored budgies. Attach a piece of string or fishing line to the top of each budgie with tape or glue. Tie these strings to a twig, a ruler, or two crisscrossed popsicle sticks to create a delightful hanging mobile for any room.

2. Chirping Finger Puppets

Select your favorite colorful budgies and carefully cut them out. Roll a small strip of construction paper into a finger-sized cylinder and secure it with glue. Attach your budgie cutout to the top of the cylinder to create an adorable finger puppet ready for storytelling.

3. Budgie Aviary Scene

Decorate the inside of a shoebox with construction paper to create a miniature aviary background, perhaps with branches or clouds. Cut out several budgies from your pages. Glue them directly to the “walls” or dangle them from the “ceiling” (the inside of the shoebox lid) using string for a vibrant 3D Budgie display.

4. Soaring Budgie Wings

Draw and cut out two large wing shapes from a sturdy piece of poster board. Cut out many smaller, colorful feather shapes from your finished Budgie coloring pages. Glue these “feathers” overlapping onto the poster board wings, then punch holes and tie elastic loops for a fun wearable costume.

5. My Budgie's Home Frame

Choose a beautifully colored budgie page and trim it to fit a small frame size. Glue popsicle sticks around the edges, forming a simple rectangular “cage” border. For an extra touch, glue a few more popsicle sticks vertically across the budgie image to resemble playful cage bars.

6. Chirping Sound Garland

Cut out several budgie images and an equal number of small “speech bubbles” from white construction paper. Write “Chirp!” or “Tweet!” inside each bubble. Glue a budgie and a speech bubble back-to-back, then string them together with yarn or string to create a delightful garland.

7. High-Flying Bookmark

Select a detailed, colorful budgie from one of your finished pages and carefully cut it out. Glue the budgie onto a sturdy piece of cardstock, leaving extra cardstock extending below to act as the bookmark's body. You can even punch a hole at the top and add a ribbon tassel for flair.

8. Playful Budgie Mask

Cut out the head of a large, colored budgie from your pages, making sure it's big enough to cover a child's face. Carefully cut out eyeholes. Glue the budgie head onto a sturdy piece of cardstock for support, then attach elastic string or a popsicle stick handle to wear your fun budgie mask.

9. Budgie Seed Pouch Prop

Take a small brown paper bag or craft a tiny pouch from brown construction paper. Cut out a cheerful budgie image from your coloring pages and glue it onto the front of your “seed pouch.” Fill the pouch with crumpled paper or cotton balls to give it shape, making a cute prop for imaginative play.

10. Pop-Up Budgie Card

Fold a piece of cardstock in half to create a card. Cut out a vibrant budgie from one of your coloring pages. Create a simple pop-up mechanism inside the card by making two short parallel cuts in the fold, then pushing the resulting flap inwards. Glue your budgie onto this flap so it “pops up” when the card opens, ready to surprise!
