Once your vibrant toucan coloring pages are complete, don't let those colorful creations gather dust! These easy and affordable craft ideas put your finished art to fantastic use.
1. Toucan Beak Mask
Cut out the colorful beak (and a small portion of the head) from your finished Toucan coloring page. Glue it onto a sturdy piece of cardstock or a paper plate. Carefully cut out eyeholes and attach elastic string or a craft stick handle to create a fun, wearable toucan beak mask.
2. Tropical Toucan Mobile
Carefully cut out several of your vibrant toucans from different colored pages. Punch a small hole at the top of each. Hang them at varying lengths using string or yarn from a crisscrossed pair of popsicle sticks or a thin branch, adding green construction paper leaves for a rainforest canopy effect.
3. Lively Toucan Puppets
Cut out your finished Toucan from the coloring page, making sure to get its distinct shape. Glue it securely to a craft stick or pipe cleaner. Create a whole flock of toucan puppets for imaginative play or to put on a vibrant rainforest show.
4. Fruity Toucan Table Topper
Cut out your brightly colored toucan and glue it onto a piece of folded cardstock so it can stand upright. Place your toucan next to a small bowl filled with colorful paper “fruit” cutouts or real tropical fruits, making a cheerful centerpiece for your table.
5. Pop-Up Toucan Wall Art
Cut out your toucan from the coloring page, leaving a small tab at the bottom. Fold the tab and glue it onto a larger piece of construction paper or poster board, so the toucan stands out slightly from the background. Add a simple drawn or construction paper “branch” for it to perch on.
6. Toucan Corner Bookmarks
Cut out your toucan from the coloring page. Glue the toucan onto a triangle of cardstock or construction paper. Snip a small slit at the toucan's beak so it can hook onto the corner of a book page, making reading a little more tropical.
7. Tropical Toucan Bunting
Cut out several of your finished toucans. Punch two small holes, one on each side near the top of their bodies. Thread a long piece of yarn or ribbon through the holes to create a colorful toucan banner to hang across a room or window.
8. Perching Toucan Scene
On a piece of blue construction paper (for the sky), glue a brown paper “branch” or draw a sturdy branch with markers. Cut out your toucan from the coloring page and glue it onto the branch. Add green paper leaves and maybe some paper fruit to complete a vibrant rainforest scene.
9. Toucan Pencil Pals
Carefully cut out a smaller toucan from your coloring page. Roll a strip of construction paper around the top of a pencil and secure with glue. Glue your toucan onto this paper sleeve so it appears to be perching on your pencil, ready for homework adventures.
10. Toucan Window Clings (Paper Version)
Cut out your toucan, making sure to cut around its distinct shape. Carefully apply clear contact paper or clear packing tape to both sides of the cut-out toucan, pressing out any air bubbles. Trim the edges. Now you have a translucent toucan decoration that can be temporarily affixed to a window or smooth surface.
