The pumpkin paper plate craft is great for kids who enjoy arts & crafts.
This project can be done in just a few minutes with supplies you probably have on hand. All you need is some paper plates, glue, construction paper, paint & a ribbon to add to the stem.
Itβs a great way to incorporate art into your Fall and Halloween decorations.
How to Make a Pumpkin Paper Plate Craft
To make, just gather a few supplies
- Large white paper plate
- Orange craft paint
- Brown construction paper
- Green construction paper
- Green ribbon Β
- Glue (or hot glue gun)
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Optional: Strong Tape
Take a look at the photos below to see the process…
Paint the paper plate orange. Set aside to dry. Once dry, apply another coat if desired. Set aside to dry completely.
Cut a brown stem out of the brown construction paper.
Turn the paper plate over to the back and glue the stem on. Allow drying time.
Cut a green leaf out of the green construction paper.
Turn the paper plate over to the front and glue the leaf next to the stem.
Cut the ribbon into a 4-6 inch piece.
Turn the paper plate to the back and glue the ribbon to the back. Once dry, you can use a strong piece of tape to make sure the ribbon stays secure on the paper plate. Use the scissor technique to curl the ribbon. This process may need an adult to do. Safety first π
