Once those vibrant flamingo coloring pages start piling up, put them to brilliant use with these easy and affordable craft ideas!
Cut out your favorite colored flamingos and glue each onto a piece of sturdy cardstock or thin poster board. Attach a wooden skewer or popsicle stick securely to the back with strong glue or tape. “Plant” your standing flamingos in potted plants or garden beds for a cheerful outdoor display.
Carefully cut out a colored flamingo head and neck, or a full small flamingo, from your pages. Glue it onto a strip of construction paper or a pipe cleaner sized to fit around a child's head. Secure the ends of the strip or pipe cleaner with tape or a staple to create a wearable, tropical crown.
Cut out several small flamingos, ensuring they are sized appropriately for fingers. On the back of each flamingo, glue a small paper loop made from a thin strip of construction paper. Let them dry completely, then slip them onto your fingers for a fun, wobbly flamingo parade!
Cut out multiple colored flamingos of varying sizes from your pages. Punch a small hole near the top of each flamingo. Thread them onto a piece of yarn or string, alternating directions, to create a festive garland perfect for decorating a bedroom or party space.
Trim your colored flamingos closely, then glue them onto circles of thick cardstock. Once dry, cover the entire circle with clear contact paper or laminate them to create waterproof coasters. You can even paint a blue “pond” background on the cardstock before adding your flamingo for extra flair.
