10 Craft Ideas to do With Flamingo Coloring Pages

Once those vibrant flamingo coloring pages start piling up, put them to brilliant use with these easy and affordable craft ideas!

1. Flamingo Garden Stakes

Cut out your favorite colored flamingos and glue each onto a piece of sturdy cardstock or thin poster board. Attach a wooden skewer or popsicle stick securely to the back with strong glue or tape. “Plant” your standing flamingos in potted plants or garden beds for a cheerful outdoor display.

2. Fabulous Flamingo Headbands

Carefully cut out a colored flamingo head and neck, or a full small flamingo, from your pages. Glue it onto a strip of construction paper or a pipe cleaner sized to fit around a child's head. Secure the ends of the strip or pipe cleaner with tape or a staple to create a wearable, tropical crown.

3. Flamingo Finger Puppets

Cut out several small flamingos, ensuring they are sized appropriately for fingers. On the back of each flamingo, glue a small paper loop made from a thin strip of construction paper. Let them dry completely, then slip them onto your fingers for a fun, wobbly flamingo parade!

4. Flamingo Flock Garland

Cut out multiple colored flamingos of varying sizes from your pages. Punch a small hole near the top of each flamingo. Thread them onto a piece of yarn or string, alternating directions, to create a festive garland perfect for decorating a bedroom or party space.

5. Flamingo Pond Coasters

Trim your colored flamingos closely, then glue them onto circles of thick cardstock. Once dry, cover the entire circle with clear contact paper or laminate them to create waterproof coasters. You can even paint a blue “pond” background on the cardstock before adding your flamingo for extra flair.

6. Pop-Up Flamingo Card

Fold a piece of cardstock in half to make a card. Cut out a flamingo from your coloring page, adding a small tab at the bottom and back of its legs. Glue the tabs inside the card's fold so the flamingo “pops up” when the card is opened, making a delightful tropical greeting.

7. Stand-Tall Desk Buddy

Cut out a flamingo from a coloring page, leaving a small rectangular tab at the bottom of its legs. Fold this tab to create a stand. For extra stability, glue the flamingo onto a small piece of folded construction paper or add pipe cleaner legs that can be bent into a supportive base.

8. Flamingo Oasis Shadow Box

Take a small shoebox and decorate the inside; paint the bottom blue for water and the sides green for foliage. Cut out a few colored flamingos and glue them strategically inside the box, some standing and some “wading,” to create a miniature tropical diorama.

9. Flamingo Photo Frame Accent

Find a plain cardboard or wooden photo frame. Cut out small flamingo shapes, individual “feathers,” or miniature flamingos from your colored pages. Use craft glue to adhere these cut-outs around the frame, giving your favorite photo a chic, tropical border.

10. Feathered Flamingo Fan

Cut out several flamingo “feather” shapes, or even mini whole flamingos, from your finished coloring pages. Glue these cut-outs onto popsicle sticks, fanning them out like a handheld fan. Secure them at the base with glue or a brad, and wave yourself cool with your stylish, DIY flamingo fan.
