Once your kids have finished coloring their favorite puffin pages, don't let those masterpieces go to waste! Turn them into fun, easy, and affordable crafts that bring these charming birds to life.
Transform a colored puffin into a wearable mask. Carefully cut out the puffin's head from your coloring page. Glue it onto a sturdy paper plate or cardstock, then cut eyeholes and attach elastic string or a craft stick handle so you can waddle around like a friendly puffin.
Give your puffin a stage! Cut out your colored puffin, focusing on the body. Glue it securely to a craft stick or popsicle stick. You can add extra construction paper wings or webbed feet if you like, then put on a puffin show!
Create a mini puffin habitat. Decorate the inside of a shoebox with blue construction paper for the ocean and brown paper for rocky cliffs. Cut out several colored puffins and glue them onto the “cliffs” or “swimming” in the “water” to make your own thriving puffin colony scene.
